Pullups with a 25 LB Plate (Video)
Can
you say hot hot hot? If she can do it, then you can do it. You don't
need to go to the gym to do what she's doing. If your door has a
frame with a little ledge on top, grab on to it, and do pull ups that
way. You can also go out and pull up on a tree branch or even at the
playground.
There's no excuses. Tack on some weight and you're pretty
much set. Still like the idea of working out in the comfort of your
own home? Well you can suck it up and buy a pull up bar on Amazon
(link there) for roughly 30 bucks.

How to Do a Dumbbell Press (Video)
The dumbbell press is essentially the same exercise as a bench press, with the only difference being that you use a pair of dumbbells rather than a single barbell. This gives your shoulders a lot more range of motion during the workout, touching on compound muscle groups. This dumbbell press video shows the basics:

How to Do a Dumbbell Triceps Extension (Video)
The most important part of a dumbbell triceps extension is keeping your elbows locked in close to your head. I always see beginners letting their elbows splay out, but that puts a lot of pressure on your spine. When you keep them locked in, the weight rests on your shoulders and triceps more. Also, don't hit yourself in the top of the head. Here's a dumbbell triceps extension video:

How to Do a One Arm Dumbbell Row (Video)
These exercises are also known as lawnmowers in the bodybuilding world, basically because when you're doing them, you use the same pull motion you would use to get a lawnmower started. One arm dumbbell rows are great for shoulder and back muscles, as well as the ubiquitous biceps and forearms. Here's a one arm dumbbell row video showing the proper form:

The 7 Day ELITE Daily Exercise Routine- Friday Day 5
Day 5 – Friday's daily exercise routine
Due to popular request, many people
have been asking for a daily exercise routine. Our routine goes as
follows:
Monday: Lower Body
Tuesday: Upper Body
Wednesday: Core and Cardio
Thursday: Lower Body
Friday: Upper Body
Saturday: Core and Cardio
Sunday: Active Rest
We'll be using the Tabata system, so be
sure to have your Tabata timer ready.
It's upper body time. It's
almost the end of the week, but you're not there yet guys. Keep focus
and you're almost home free. Remember to use light weights to get a
better feel of what you're body is capable of. It can be tempting to
rush through these exercises, but when dealing with weights, you want
to really, really pay attention to form and not hurt yourself. Take
it easy, you're not winning a race right now.
For this daily exercise
routine, set your timer for 12 rounds of 50 seconds work and 10
seconds rest. You're going to repeat each exercise three times.
You're going to feel tired, but remember to keep pushing it and to
keep proper form. If you can only do one pull up by the time you're
done, don't worry. One is better than none and you'll get better as
time progresses. Keep motivated and stay strong.
Friday: Upper Body
Pull ups
Bicep Curls
Dumbbell Press

The 7 Day ELITE Daily Exercise Routine- Tuesday Day 2
Day 2 – Tuesday's daily exercise routine
Due to popular request, many people
have been asking for a daily exercise routine. Our routine goes as
follows:
Monday: Lower Body
Tuesday: Upper Body
Wednesday: Core and Cardio
Thursday: Lower Body
Friday: Upper Body
Saturday: Core and Cardio
Sunday: Active Rest
In today's daily exercise routine we
will be working upper body. We are using the Tabata system, so be
sure to have your timer ready for action.
The way our Tabata system works is that
you set your timer for 50 seconds work and 10 seconds rest. You do as
many reps as possible within those 50 seconds before switching to
another exercise. Each exercise is considered 1 round. Today we'll be
working with 12 rounds, which means it will take 12 minutes to
complete four different exercises, three times through.
Tuesday - Upper Body
Push Ups
Dumbbell Chest Press
Dumbbell Bent Over Row
Dumbbell Triceps Extension
Remember to record your reps, so that
you can use it next week to beat your personal best. In the beginning
use a light weight, so you can gauge how much weight you should use
for next week based on how you feel the next day.

An Intense Full Body Workout Routine for Men
This is a workout that was
crafted for beginners, and so it uses some pretty simple exercises to
get you going. However, that's not to say that it isn't intense!
Also, the title calls it a workout routine for men, but really women
can give it a shot as well.
This is a great workout routine for the gym, and you should shoot for 3 times per week, with
an off day in between each one.
The main point of this
routine is to perfect our form, using slow, concentrated movements.
So as you're doing each rep, give it two counts up, and two counts
down.
Say you're doing a shoulder
press. As you lift the weight, count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi.
Then as you lower it, again count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi.
Don't use too much weight, just add enough so that when you finish
the final set you can really feel the burn.
Here's the full body workout
you'll be doing 3 days per week:
Squat- 3 sets of 15
Stiff leg deadlift- 3 sets
of 15
Seated calf raise- 3 sets of
15
Barbell bench press- 3 sets
of 15
Barbell rows- 3 sets of 15
Shoulder press- 2 sets of 12
Standing alternating
dumbbell curl- 2 sets of 12
Tricep pushdown- 2 sets of
12

A Gym Exercise Routine for Hardgainers that Actually Works
I spent some time in a post yesterday explaining how the term "hardgainer" is often a
fallback for anyone who has trouble putting on weight. I honestly
believe that anybody can build muscle mass, and if you think that you
are a "true" hardgainer, do me a favor and stick to this
gym exercise routine, then tell me you haven't gained anything.
As always keep your food
intake up while you are doing the following 3 day a week workout, and
don't try to lift more than you can handle. Check it out:
The "rep goal"
listed for the following exercises is the total reps you should shoot
for out of 3 sets. Remember that. When the rep goal says 25,
that's 25 reps split between 3 sets. You might want to aim for 10,
10, and 5.
Now, here's the full body
hardgainer workout routine you've been waiting your whole life for.
Squats: Rep goal-25
Deadlifts: Rep goal-15
Bench press: Rep goal-25
Overhead press: Rep goal-25
Dumbbell rows: Rep goal-25
Barbell curl: Rep goal-25
Dumbbell bench press: Rep
goal-25
Barbell rows: Rep goal-25
Dumbbell curl: Rep goal-25
Calf raises: Rep goal-45
Weighted situps: Rep goal-45
Side bends: Rep goal-30
20 rep squats: Rep goal-20
Once you are able to hit the
assigned rep goal in a maximum of 3 reps, add 10 more pounds of
weight for that exercise.
You should be doing this 3
days a week on nonconsecutive days for best results. And don't miss
the eating plan for hardgainers to make
sure you maximize that muscle gain.

Full Body 100 Rep Workout Routines
In a previous post we talked
about the 100 rep shocker routine. That
time we only talked about arm workouts. In this one we're going to
take the concept higher so you get a concentrated, powerful full body workout routine that will boost your muscle mass and give you a more
vascular, ripped appearance.
Here are the quick
guidelines for the 100 rep workout routines one more time:
Do at least 40 reps, more if
you can. Subtract that number from 100 and rest for that many
seconds. (50 reps= a 50 second rest). Then do the same thing, adding
your rep count to the first time.
That's it. It's intense,
difficult, and it will make you feel like a beast at the end.
For the following full body
workout, do each exercise as explained above, then rest 3 minutes
before moving onto the next exercise.
Full Body 100 Rep Workout
leg press calf raise
cable tricep extension
hammer curls
dumbbell lateral raise
barbell shrugs
incline bench press
lat pull down
leg press

The Hardest Bodyweight Shoulder Exercises
Bodyweight exercises are invariably looked down on by so called “hardcore” bodybuilders and exercise enthusiasts. Why? Because there's a certain image that goes along with the idea of a muscular guy pumping iron in a sweaty gym. Think of Rocky or any movie where a guy is doing training for a big event. It's always bench presses and squats, barbells and dumbbells. Because of this, a lot of people don't recognize the value of the true muscle maximizer: bodyweight exercises.
There are plenty of ways to do bodyweight shoulder exercises in your own home. There are also benefits to doing them over typical weight lifting regimens. For one, bodyweight exercises are remarkably low risk. If you're weight training with 150 pounds and you drop the bar or lift wrong, you can seriously injure your muscles. With bodyweight exercises, you're lifting your own body in a way that allows you to leverage the resistance on your muscles. Even if you fall there's very little chance that you will get hurt.
The debate between whether weight training or weight-free training is the best muscle maximizer is one that's never going to end. Truth be told, there are plenty of advantages to both systems, but bodyweight exercises have the benefit of being accessible at any time in any place. Whether you're at home, at the park, or even at the gym you can whip out a few of these bodyweight shoulder exercises to really add some extra power to your core and arms.
Pushups are probably the most famous muscle maximizer exercises. They can powerfully transform your arms and biceps into rock hard machines, but typical pushups don't do much to help your shoulders. Shoulder pushups change the angle of resistance so that more pressure is put on your upper arms and shoulders. To do a shoulder pushup, place your hands on the floor in front of you and keep your knees straight so that you create an upside down V with your body. Now push straight down on your arms so that most of the weight is transferred to your shoulders.
If you want a harder shoulder pushup, you can place your feet on a chair or a bench. You can also try a one leg shoulder pushup. Just lift one leg off the ground; you'll feel a lot more pressure on your abs and core as you try to stay rigid. This is a powerful somanabolic muscle maximizer that works your shoulders, chest, biceps, and abdominal muscles.
Taking this a step further, we have the handstand pushup. This brings the angle of leverage all the way up to 180 degrees, allowing you to press your full body weight down on your shoulders. If you can't do a handstand, lean up against a wall for balance. Try to do three sets of 10 reps each time to really feel the burn all the way through your shoulders. This is one of the best bodyweight shoulder exercises you can do at home.

Breakdown of the Best Bodyweight Shoulder Exercises for Maximum Strength
Best Bodyweight Shoulder Exercises
If you're looking to work out your shoulders and build strength without weights, then bodyweight shoulder exercises are the way to go. With bodyweight exercises, you get to work on building endurance and strength without having to use anything in your workout other than your own self. It's easy to see why these exercises are popular; no need to worry about having the right equipment for your home gym or anything like that.
The shoulders can be a slightly difficult area to target in your workouts. Naturally, it won't do to just let them go undeveloped. The shoulder connects your whole arm to the rest of your body, and anyone who has ever had a serious shoulder injury can attest to how difficult it makes things. Fortunately, there are a bunch of bodyweight shoulder exercises that are known to yield substantial results.
Hindu Pushup
If you're doing these exercises for muscular endurance, then its important to pick an exercise that'll allow you to do about 16 reps or more, depending on what your ultimate goal is. One of the best bodyweight shoulder exercises for building endurance is the Hindu pushup. Pushups are great for targeting the shoulders in general. For this particular exercise, you start by placing your legs and arms roughly a shoulder width apart. The body is then formed into a sort of upside-down “V” shape while keeping the spine, head and neck aligned—in Yoga, this position is commonly known as the Downward Dog.
From here, you bend your elbows, bringing your chest down until it rests just above the floor, and then you move forward into a Cobra Pose (torso raised, legs and lower abdomen pressed against the ground). To return to the Downward Dog position, simply raise the abdomen and then push backward. Hindu pushups are good because they not only target your shoulders, but they also work your chest.
Decline Pushup
Aside from the Hindu variation, there are many other ways to do pushups that effectively work your shoulders. One popular method is the decline pushup. Here, you place your feet on a higher surface with your hands pressed against the floor. This puts more strain on the shoulders because more of your body's weight is concentrated into one spot. The higher you rest your legs, the more stress your shoulders will receive and the more endurance you'll ultimately gain.
Shoulder Press Pushup
Another variation is the shoulder press pushup. This is something of a cross between a decline pushup and a handstand pushup; instead of assuming a diagonal position, you keep your upper body perpendicular to the floor. This is more effective because it puts even more strain on the shoulder muscles. However, you should probably start smaller and work your way up to doing shoulder press pushups due to how taxing they can be.
Plank Exercise
Another good exercise to try is planking. This is a relatively simple exercise. It starts off with you lying face-down, hands entwined and held straight out in front of you. Using your arms and legs, lift up your hips so that your weight is concentrated on your toes and forearms. Make sure that while planking, your body is kept as straight as possible and your head is relaxed. You should generally hold this position for 30 to 60 seconds before stopping.
There are countless other ways you can work to target your shoulder muscles using only your own weight. These are just a few of the easiest and most effective. They're by no means the best exercises for everyone, and the workout you need depends on what your aim is. Make sure to read up on other possible exercise techniques before beginning.

Quick Muscle Building- Muscles in Minutes
By Paul Becker
This is my write up of a training/supplement program I was on. The total program lasted 9 weeks and in that time I actually gained 20 lbs! I went from 174 to 194, now I have in the past weighed 188 and some of this was regained muscle, but on top of that I put on a fresh new 6 pounds. Ok, some background on how I thought up this program, as you may already know, suggested programs for hardgainers are short and infrequent. I got to thinking that "what if you trained even shorter workouts and did them more often?". I was on a busy schedule and still wanted to train so I decided to try this to see how it worked.
I knew pre exhaust workouts were a very effective method, but in the past I had only done it here and there for one or another body part and I had never done it for every muscle group for weeks at a time. Below is the routine I used, most workouts lasted 5 minutes or less.
Workout 1 (Chest)
Dumbbell Fly
With no rest do Bench Press
Workout 2 (Back)
Dumbbell Pullover
With no rest do Row
Workout 3 (Shoulders)
Lateral Raise
With no rest do Press Behind Neck
Workout 4 (Legs)
Leg Curl
Leg Extension
With no rest do Barbell Squat
Workout 5 (Arms)
1 Rep Chin (Go very slow, 30 seconds up and 30 seconds down)
With no rest do Standing Barbell Curl
1 Rep Dip (Go very slow, 30 seconds down and 30 seconds up)
With no rest do Tricep Exertions
I did do a warm up of a lighter set of the compound exercise then I did just one hard work set as listed above. I tired to add weight to the exercises each and every workout and I stayed in the 6 to 9 rep range, except on the chin and dip which is done for a painfully slow 1 rep.
The first 2 weeks I worked out Monday through Friday and took the weekends off, each muscle group was being hit once a week, but the soreness from the last workout was interfering with the next workout and I switched to training every other day. After 3 weeks I gained 11 pounds and then the gains seemed to slow down.
Starting week 4 I began taking a hormone precursor supplement and my gains started up again, I gained another 9 pounds over the next 6 weeks!
On diet I followed a zone type plan (40% Carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat) and I ate up to 7 to 8 times a day.
This program is very different then any you will see in the glossy muscle magazines but it sure does work, and if any one is feeling he can't train because he "doesn't have the time", I'm sure you can squeeze in 5 mins every other day to make some great gains!

300 Spartan Warrior Workout PART 2
There's another video on here showing the intense 300 spartan warrior workout, but I feel this video gives you a lot more options to work with. I also prefer the setup of the routine. In the first Spartan workout video LeanBodyLifestyle recommended doing 50 reps for each exercise, and 6 different exercises for 300 total reps.
This video suggests 30 reps per exercise and 10 different exercises. Now, I'm in shape, and 50 for each rep was HARD AS HELL!!! For several of the last sets my muscles were well past maxed out. 30 reps per set gives you intense muscle fatigue and allows you to spread the workout over your entire body more evenly. I'm a proponent of this style, but you're free to choose your own path. Remember - you don't need a high priced gym membership to get results. Strength without weights is the new era of fitness.

Variations Of Strongman Exercises – All You Ever Wanted To Know About These Exercises!
Variations of Strongman exercises – why are they necessary?
For a wrestler, when he goes out into the ring, there are actually not many aspects that are under his control. Possibilities, therefore, of winning are always fifty-fifty. However, there are some components are under his control, and these can help him to walk off the mat, victorious!
So, let me start with mentioning these aspects, which, in no absolute order, are – your level of strength, power, technique, quickness, attitude, condition, desire and of course, mental toughness. Here, technique, which is also one of the most essential aspects, is omitted. I’m no wrestling coach, so I’ll leave it to the other expert wrestling coaches out there, such as Nick Roy.
What we aim to discuss here is a workout program that will very effectively help you improve all the other factors that have been mentioned. This program consists of a number of exercises, and together they form the Strongman exercises.
Some popular Strongman exercises
Mentioned below are a couple of Strongman exercises. These are actually very simple ones, and you can easily master the steps after a few weeks of practice. Additionally, even though a gym membership is good for regular exercises, you can easily perform these at home. No sophisticated machines are needed, and when added to your wrestling workout, can effectively enhance your workout regime.
- The tire flip – the set of exercises in this method affect various muscles, and these include hamstrings, low back, shoulders, quads, glutes, calves and your forearm. Also, they are known to act as core stabilizers. The exercise can be beneficial for the casual exerciser as well as for wrestlers. As mentioned above, no special equipment is needed, and you can easily do it in your garden.
- Sandbag shouldering – This is similar to the one mentioned above, and effects about the same group of muscles, although particularly strongly. Lats are additionally affected by the exercises that come under this set, and these are also core stabilizers.
It can, therefore, be seen that there are many variations of Strongman exercises. However, most of them aim to serve the same purpose – increase your mobility and overall strength.
Advantages of Strongman exercises
The discussion about these exercises remains incomplete without the mention of the various advantages associated with these. And now that you also know that these exercises involve several muscle groups simultaneously, you must also have concluded that they offer benefits for the entire body.
Let us discuss only some advantages of Strongman exercises.
- Wrestling-specific – If you’ve ever gassed during a wrestling match, you probably know that simple running does not optimize your body for wrestling. And if you’re a wrestler, you must also be aware of the fact that wrestling involves the participation of your entire body equally, not just the legs. Strongman exercises condition your entire body, making you perfectly fit for a wrestling match.
- Stabilizes the entire body – The exercises that come under can sometimes be unstable and unpredictable. So to keep up with them, you’ll have to constantly try to keep stabilizing your body. These additional stabilizing activities will further harden your joints and eventually your body.
- Absolutely free – The majority of these exercises can be done free, since gym memberships are not at all essential for them. You can think of these exercises as an affordable way to gain strength without weights.
As already pointed out, there can be variations of Strongman exercises. However, they all focus on only thing – hardening your body and making you physically fit, thus optimizing your body for tough wrestling. So why not incorporate them in your daily workout regime today to see how they help you?
To your good health!!
Kettlebell Clean – The Best Exercise For Women!
Kettlebell clean and squat exercises are not just some exercises that you should consider as casual ones. In fact, these exercises are involve rigorous workout sessions, and therefore must be taken very seriously. One of the most common issues faced by women these days is belly fat. And to tell the truth, it is not just women who are concerned with this. Studies have shown that nearly 37% of men all around the globe from this problem, and are constantly in search of a reliable method that will help them get rid of the unwanted weight.
Well, the weight is over now! You have before your eyes one of the safest and also the most reliable method to burn your undesired body fat. The drill mentioned here aims to boost your metabolism rate considerably, thus making you lose fat quickly.
What is Kettlebell clean method?
The technique mentioned here is quite simple, and it probably won’t take more than a couple of weeks for you to master it. And if you’ve been doing some gym exercises before, there are possibilities that you can master the skills in a relatively shorter period of time.
The first step requires you to stand in an upright position, with your feet apart, up to shoulder width. Keep the Kettlebell just in between your feet. All done, now squat down on the floor, while grabbing the Kettlebell with your one hand.
Now, try to stand up, and simultaneously pull up the bell in such a motion that you perform a quick corkscrew motion smoothly with your arm. This should allow the Kettlebell to slightly rotate about the outer edge of the wrist. By the time you are done doing this, your arm should ideally be resting up, and against your body. The position of your arm should be somewhere near the off-center of your body midline.
Now that you have performed the initial step of the Kettlebell clean and squat exercise, simply start doing a series of these steps in a regular pattern. Rest only if you must.
Some important tips to improve your Clean
Though the exercise is a very beneficial one, there are people who find it rather difficult to completely master the skills even after weeks of practice. Therefore, we have compiled a list of some important points that one must keep in mind when practicing these steps to perform the drill effectively.
- Refining the arc – The arc of the Kettlebell clean actually comes closer to the body when compared to a swing. So to perform the drill correctly, think of it as zipping up your jacket while you are bringing up the bell.
- Perfect your hip drive – Adequate amount of power needs to be generated with your hips so that you perform the arc movement correctly. Too little or too much power can cause an immediate failure. Practice, here, is the key.
- Use your hand instead of the forearm – The use of hands in this case will make the drill a lot smoother, and will also considerably lower the impact the bell can have on your forearm.
Contrary to the popular belief that strength without weights is not possible, Kettlebell clean involves such techniques that can fulfill the requirements of a gym at your own home. So no matter how much pressed you are for time, you can follow the drill regularly at the comfort of your own home!

The Kettlebell Snatch – All You Ever Wanted to know
Kettlebell Snatch – What is it?
-->
Large belly fat has become one of the most common concerns nowadays, and there are quite a large number of exercises that are suggested for losing this fat. However, not all of them are known to work for everyone. Fitness experts are of the opinion that big core movements which aim at a considerable amount of big core muscle exertion are one of the most effective and also the safest methods of getting rid of abdominal fat.
Now, this is significantly true when the human body is taken into account, since these exercises make the nervous system come into effect instantly. This is necessary if your body has to endure the external physical stress. And this is also precisely why the Kettlebell Snatch is considered to be among the most powerful lifts that are recommended for losing belly fat!
The technique for Kettlebell Snatch exercises
Though the Kettlebell Snatch is a little tricky to learn for beginners, it is still considered to be among the best because of its capability to enhance strength endurance. It also positively affects some other areas of the body, such as shoulder girdle muscles, hips, back and core.
Mentioned below is a small drill which is aimed at assisting you in improving your form. Furthermore, following these can also help you stay safe from the much feared ‘forearm slap’.
- One arm swings – 3
- Low pulls – 3
- High pulls – 3
- Snatches – 3
Follow these drills sequentially, and you will master the movements in some time. Additionally, as already mentioned above, this will also help minimize the chances of the forearm slaps that are so common in people practicing the Kettlebell Snatch.
The advantages of practicing the Kettlebell Snatch lift
The Kettlebell Snatch exercises have been long time favorites of several fitness experts around the world. This is largely because of the number of benefits that are associated with it. Let us discuss the three main benefits of doing these exercises regularly.
- Improvements in shoulder stability – Overhead lifts are one of the most preferred ways if you are looking to strengthen your shoulder joints. In addition to improving the stability of the shoulder, these lifts also increase the mobility which further helps in smooth athletic movement.
- Development of explosive power – The proper development of the core muscles is essential for anyone who is looking for increasing the overall strength and endurance of the body. Regular exercises such as running and jumping can only be carried out effectively if you body has the strength to endure the outside stress.
- Cardiovascular conditioning – High repetition of the lift sets involves the exertion of your body right from the head to your toe. To keep up with this rigorous movement, your heart must keep working efficiently to supply the adequate amount of blood needed for the movements. Therefore these exercises do not just mobilize your body, but even rev up your heart rate tremendously.
Now, one can also gain strength without weights. And although gyms do offer equipments that can help you exercise conveniently, they are not the only options. For those of you looking to doing these Kettlebell Snatch lifts at home, let me tell you that one can expect the same results that he or she would if they went to the gym. One reason behind this is that you do not necessarily need special equipments for these exercises, and thus a gym membership is not a compulsion in these cases!
Now take a look at the rest of our exercises for athletes and the Somanabolic Muscle Maximizer review.
Bodyweight Shoulder Exercises – The Three Most Powerful Techniques
Bodyweight shoulder exercises – an overview
Shoulders form one of the toughest muscle groups in the body when it comes to exercising the body muscles with bodyweight movements. The shoulders are very important here because they play an active role in stabilizing the muscles that are responsible for controlling all the upper bodyweight movements performed by our body. However, there are some shoulder movements that are preferred over the others.
The bodyweight shoulder exercises mentioned here are also an excellent alternative for those of us who prefer to exercise at home. Going to the gym everyday requires a certain amount of time, and there are people who have to follow hectic schedules. These exercises can be done almost anywhere, even at your own home or a park.
The three best bodyweight shoulder exercises
- Elevated Scorpion – Begin by getting in the push-up position. Once done, slowly arch your back, pressing your butt in the upward direction. It is important for your arms and also the legs to be straight at all times. Keep going until you feel that your bodyweight is now in an inverted ‘V’ position.
Now, start raising your right foot towards the ground, and do this until your hands and your feet create a sort of a straight line on the floor.
Pause for a second while you are in this position, and then start moving your extended right foot towards the left. Eventually, your right leg will tend to bend at an angle of 90°, and this will cause your body to twist to the left slightly. Now, stop.
Bring your right foot to its previous position, and then gradually lower your foot. Rest a little if you must, and repeat the steps for the left side.
- Ellipse – This involves the forward and the backward movement of the body. First, kneel on the floor, and then sit comfortably on your calves. Now keep your hands in front of you, on the floor. Your arms should be kept straight, and your spine should be stretched. When done, slowly move your body in the forward direction. A good trick is to imagine that your body is trying to go through a conceptual wall, while your hands are acting like chains and trying to hold you from going through.
When the chest has gone down a considerable distance, you should now start lowering your body. Lower down until your chest barely touches the floor. This might seem similar to a push-up; however, remember that unlike a push-up, the arms are not beside the chest.
Now gradually start moving in the backward direction, and go to the original position.
- Frogger – This method quite resembles the initial position indicated in the Elevated Scorpion. Start by getting in the push-up pose, and then gradually lower your hips downwards. These done, now do the opposite movement by slowly pressing your butt upwards. However, ensure that your arms and also your legs are straight at all times.
Do these until you see yourself in an inverted ‘V’ position. Halt for a while, and then slowly return to the initial position before you repeat this.

Hindu Pushups - Intense Workouts for Explosive Upper Body Strength
![]() |
| A Hindu Pushup |
Hindu pushups are really nothing similar to the pushups you are probably used to. They have the power to bring incredible strength without weights. They will work your shoulders, back, forearms, chest, abs, and biceps until they literally burn with pain.
Hindu pushups have been used for hundreds of years in India, but have recently become a little more popular again as people search for ways to gain strength without weights or costly gym memberships. You can perform these at home in your living room, and they'll probably end up doing you more good than all that expensive gym equipment.
Like Hindu squats, the goal with these is to go for as many reps as possible until your muscles are ready to give out. This is a “train to failure” type of home workout, so give it all you got.
Instead of a written description, you can watch this video that shows how to do them. Remember to breathe and try to make the motion as fluid as possible. You are the water.

300 Warrior Workout Video - Ultimate Bodyweight Workout
I ran across this video while looking for new workouts to try, and the person in the video doesn't look too impressive, I'll be honest. I tried that workout though and IT KILLED ME!
He adds several comments on the video as it goes, and he's correct. Ever since the movie 300 came out a few years ago everyone has this idea of the Spartans as well oiled, perfectly tanned muscle machines.
The truth is they probably didn't have such a well defined physique. What they DID have was raw, brutal power and the ability to move quickly, endlessly, and with intensity.
This is what should define an athlete, not the way they look. Anyone can learn how to get real, raw strength without weights just by watching this.
I challenge you, try this workout and post a comment with your time.
Try it for yourself and see if you can even come close to finishing.
This is the only 300 Spartan workout you need.
