Truth About Fat Burning Foods Review- Fat Loss By Nick Pineault
This is a review of The
Truth About Fat Burning Foods.
If you would like to visit
the main website instead, click here.
The Truth About Fat Burning
Foods by Nick Pineault is a set of PDF books that challenges the
normal perspective of diet foods.
Specifically, the books are geared
towards losing weight using natural, organic foods that aren't filled
with a lot of added chemicals and dangerous growth hormones.
There are a total of 7 books
in the Fat Burning Foods set, each one specifically tailored towards
a different type of food. They are:
As you can tell just by
looking at the titles of the books, this product really covers the
entire range of options when it comes to eating healthy and losing
weight. Those are all topics that we've worried about when trying to
lose weight, and I know I've personally struggled with more than one
of them.
So does the Truth About Fat
Burning Foods do what it's supposed to do? Will it really help you
shed pounds and create a physique you can be proud of? Or is it just
another diet fad? Let's take a look.
On the surface, the idea is
pretty simple—watch what you eat and stick to healthy foods. But we
all know that, and it's much easier said than done. Is that what Fat
Burning Foods is all about?
NO.
The author of the book, Nick
Pineault, is a nutrition scientist who has spent the better part of
seven years looking at what makes us healthy and what makes us fat.
Some of his findings are pretty surprising.
The truth is, most people
are poisoning their bodies without realizing it.
For example, a typical
"healthy" breakfast of orange juice, wheat bread, and
margarine is NOT helping you lose weight!!
Why? Well, oranges
themselves are very healthy, but when you take out all the fibers and
pulp you're left with a fraction of the nutritional value. On top of
that, even the brands of orange juice that claim to be extra healthy
have most likely been sitting around for months.
Think about it—oranges
don't grow all year round. Yet you can still get a carton of orange
juice even in the middle of December. Why? When orange juice is made,
it's vacuum sealed in enormous vats so that it stays "fresh."
Once the orange growing season is finished, the company turns to its
vacuum sealed stockpile to satisfy the year-round demand. What you're
drinking isn't fresh, and in most cases has been treated with
chemicals to make it last longer and taste better.
And then there's the wheat
bread—wheat bread is healthier than white bread, there's no denying
that. It's less processed, less refined, and filled with more
macronutrients. But often, that's just surface appearances. Some
brands don't do anything more than enrich white bread—they refine
it all down, and then add more things to make it seem "healthier."
The Truth About Fat Burning
Foods is PACKED with information like this. It busts down the myths
of health foods and rebuilds the facts to give you only the correct
information about what you should be eating.
I wholly recommend this
book, and if you're trying to lose weight, this is exactly what you
need. Most people poison their bodies every day and don't even
realize it. It's a scary thought, but it's true.
If you absolutely need to
lose weight, FAST, you need to switch up your diet and use the Truth
About Fat Burning Foods.

Health Benefits of Coffee
Throughout history, coffee
has been alternatively glorified and vilified. Actually, that's not
entirely true—most of our history has held up coffee as an
important beverage. It was only once certain health fads started
taking hold in the past few decades that coffee was seen as something
that could be dangerous, and we began asking the question, is coffee healthy?
Why has coffee recently been called unhealthy? It helps to look at the
environment of some of the studies that were done around that time.
According to the Mayo clinic, most of the coffee drinkers that were
surveyed didn't just drink coffee—they also smoked, and led
inactive lifestyles. What studies now are showing is that it was the
smoking that contributed most to heart problems—not the coffee.
What Are The Health Benefits Of Coffee?
These days, we have more
stringent controls on health studies, and we're slowly finding that
coffee has some pretty incredible health benefits. One study found
that coffee is effective against Parkinson's disease, and even
against some forms of liver cancer.
Coffee is packed with a
dense mixture of antioxidants and alkaloids that go above and beyond
simple caffeine (although the caffeine itself is healthier than you
might think).
And of course, coffee always
has a place in my kitchen because of that oldest reason of all:
Alertness and improved mental and physical function.
So, is coffee healthy? The
studies declare an overwhelming YES, but just remember: everything in
moderation.

4 Health Areas In Which Protein Shakes Benefit The Most
The most popular form of
supplement used these days by bodybuilders and other athletes that
require muscular strength is protein shakes. They are considered the
best primarily because they help in increasing muscle mass;
therefore, they are the preferred choice of bodybuilders.
If the benefits of
protein shake be classified in major categories, then four categories
surface that represent the health benefits one can attain by using
the best
protein shakes and powder. The lines below give the four
different areas in which protein shakes help the health.
1. Antioxidants Supply:
The first domain in which
protein shakes help the body is in antioxidants supply. The body
requires antioxidants to help it fight the effects of free radicals
that are produced by the body and which actually harm the health of
the body. If the body has sufficient amount of antioxidants, then
these fight the negative effects created by free radicals by
neutralizing them. Therefore, as a result of consumption of protein
shakes, the antioxidant supply to the body increases thus bettering
the overall health of the body.2. Maintaining and Building Muscle Mass:
The other health category
in which protein shakes benefit a person is pertaining to maintaining
and building of muscle mass. The reason why an ordinary person in
general or an athlete in particular requires muscle mass is to
prevent the occurrence of injury of any kind. Therefore, it is
imperative that in any case the muscle mass is maintained if not kept
on building on regular basis. The reason why protein shakes are
recommended or the best option in this regard is because they offer
the purest form of different proteins causing the muscles to receive
instant supply of protein to keep the muscle building process going
and thus the body maintains its muscle mass and stays healthy.
3. Suppressing Cortisol:
The most dangerous single
hormone linked to a variety of health problems is cortisol. This
hormone causes high blood pressure, anxiety, obesity and diabetes;
therefore, for better health it is imperative that the production of
this very hormone be limited to a certain level. In this regard,
protein shakes come in very handy, as they help suppress the
secretion of this hormone. This hormone is released when a person is
under stress or some fatigued situation. Thus, it is imperative that
the athletes who undergo training daily consume protein shakes to
suppress the amount of production of this hormone for better health
condition.
4. Weight Control:
The other benefit of
protein shakes with which most of the people are not familiar is
their help in weight control. The reason why protein shakes can help
in controlling weight is because of their appetite suppressing
property. Proteins serve as appetite suppressants, thus as a result
of consumption of shakes you feel fuller for longer, thus preventing
excessive eating or overeating during the next meal. Therefore, if
you wish to stay slim yet healthy then you need to consume protein
shakes and preferably replace your meal with protein shakes for
better results.
Bottom Line:
In short, although
protein shakes help in general betterment of health; however, if you
know the major health areas in which they benefit, then it becomes
easy to consider the use of protein shakes.

Potential Side Effects of Yohimbe HCL
Look,
yohimbe is a stimulant. There are always going to be side effects in
people with unhealthy hearts. At no point during the last 4 posts
have I claimed to be a doctor, and you should always check with yours
before starting something new.
Serious
side effects with yohimbe HCL are pretty rare, but they can happen.
Some side effects include throat constriction, breathing problems,
allergic hives, and irregular heartbeat. If you experience any of
these when taking yohimbe you should call the doc immediately.
Less
serious but slightly more common side effects of yohimbe can also
occur, which are concurrent with most stimulants. These include
irritability, skin flushing, headaches, anxiety, dizziness, and the
general feeling that dude, you're jacked up. Of course you are.
Finally,
I have to mention that in large doses, yohimbe can be mildly
hallucinogenic.
So
there it is. I've tried yohimbe HCL and I found it to be pretty
consistent with ephedrine, from back in the day. It gives you a
strong energy boost, clear mental focus, and the ability to just get
out there and get stuff done!
If you
missed the benefits of yohimbe HCL, go to
that page and take a look.

Who Really Benefits from Yohimbe HCL?
First
of all, if you're having trouble getting an erection you may want to
check out yohimbe. If you've been diagnosed with erectile dysfunction
or impotence, you should ask your doctor about it. It's a stimulant,
so be careful if you're over sensitive to that type of thing.
Now,
yohimbe HCL can also be an option for anyone who just wants to make
their sex life better. If you want to last longer and have more
stamina, you could always give it a shot. After all, that's what the
FDA decided it was good for.
Finally,
if you're looking to lose weight you can combine yohimbe HCL with a
good workout routine. Supplements will never get you all the way, but
they can certainly be a boost to your diet and exercise program.
Bodybuilders
can potentially use yohimbe as part of an energy stack, but be
careful that it doesn't start you off burning more calories than you
want.
What's the Proper Yohimbe
HCL Dose?
Your
supplement bottle should list the proper dosage, and you should
always follow those directions. Your doctor can also prescribe a
yohimbe extract, which is usually prescribed in doses of 5.4
milligrams several times per day.
But be
careful, there have been some side effects associated with yohimbe,
which we'll cover tomorrow.
In the
meantime, take a look at the benefits of yohimbe HCL.

The Health Benefits of Yohimbe HCL
Yohimbe
is supposed to work by stimulating blood flow as a direct effect of
the dilation of the blood vessels. Dilation means it makes them
larger, allowing them to flow more easily to the extremities.
Most
studies show that yohimbe is effective in about 40% of men as a cure
for impotence because that blood vessel dilation we talked about lets
more blood flow to the penis, and we all know what that means: Boner
City.
At the
core of everything though, yohimbe HCL is a stimulant which may have
an effect on the central nervous system. Because of that, it's
possible that yohimbe can be used as a weight loss aid, and there
seems to be a lot of personally collected data that backs that up.
In the
past, ephedra was commonly used for weight loss, but since it was
banned in the country there haven't been a whole lot of substitutes.
Yohimbe
HCL can also give you an energy boost during a workout. The blood
vessel dilation allows more blood to flow to the muscles, leading to
an increase in oxygen supply right when your burning, aching muscles
need it most.
So who
is it good for and how much should you take? Check back tomorrow!
If you
missed the overview of yohimbe HCL, just

Yohimbe HCL- What is It?
Yohimbe
has gained a lot of attention over the past 30 years or so, first and
foremost as a sex aid.
It's
supposed to increase energy and stamina during those intimate hours,
but it's also been getting some favorable attention as a natural supplement to help boost energy levels during workouts.
But
we're getting hit over the head all the time with so called "natural
supplements." Let's look at the science behind it.
Yohimbe
HCL is the chemical which makes all this happen, and is derived
directly from Yohimbe bark. The bark itself is native to West Africa,
where the native tribes have used it for centuries to treat medical
conditions, illnesses, and to provide energy.
Here in
the U.S., yohimbe has been around since roughly 1980, and the FDA has
approved it for treating symptoms of impotence and erectile
dysfunction.
It's
sold over the counter and you can get it at some health food stores,
as well as online.
Check
back tomorrow for the benefits of yohimbe HCL.

Supplements to Naturally Boost Testosterone
We
already covered the intro to naturally boosting testosterone levels, so let's just get right to the
good stuff.
Most
supplements on the market right now that claim to boost testosterone
levels come from herbal extracts. However, there are a few that have
shown proven results in clinical trials that instead come from a
combination of minerals and vitamins.
ZMA
ZMA,
short for Zinc Magnesium Aspartate, is
instrumental in building testosterone levels in healthy males. Now,
we've always known that zinc and magnesium combined has a positive
effect on testosterone, but this combination is formulated to shoot
for the highest levels possible.
Zinc
is also an antioxidant that can feasibly shorten recovery time, so
you know this is good news. Magnesium is used for more than 300
processes within the human body, and most Americans are actually
magnesium deficient.
ZMA
should be used at night before going to bed. It promotes deeper
sleep, which is also hugely beneficial for natural testosterone
production.
Herbal
Extracts
There
are also plenty of naturally occurring herbs that can boost
testosterone levels, including:
- Saw palmetto
- Tribulus
- Fenugreek
- Yohimbe bark
Although
it's not a natural herb, D-aspartic acid can also give testosterone a
gently boost.

Supplements to Naturally Boost Growth Hormone
We
already covered the introduction to boosting growth hormone, so let's just jump right into it.
Naturally Boost Growth Hormone
GABA
GABA is
an amino acid that's shoer for Gamma-Aminobutryic Acid. It's actually
a neurotransmitter- one of the chemicals that allows signals to be
sent through the brain. Therefore, unlike most other amino acids,
GABA doesn't directly contribute to the synthesis of protein in the
body.
You can
usually buy GABA these days in formulas which include a lot of other
supplements, but I've found the best way to take it is on its own.
You can get pills or powder which is exclusively GABA, and then
measure the dose yourself before stacking it with other supps.
Other
Amino Acids
Want
some other common amino acids that are used to naturally boost growth hormone? Try Arginine, Taurine, Glutamine, Lysine, or Ornithine. Or
try them all together. You're definitely going to notice results when
you stack them.
If
you're not sure about it, keep in mind that just about every supplement that claims to boost levels of HGH use these amino acids
as their primary ingredients.

ZMA Stacked with Exercises for Athletes- What's the Deal?
Athletes constitute a
special breed of bodybuilder. They're not after just sheer muscle
mass; they need speed and functionality to come with it. That's why
most exercises for athletes are so intensive – it's a mixture of
cardio and strength routines for maximum physical fitness.
Now, if you're into gaining
weight for any reason, you're going to eventually wonder what types
of supplements you should take. I'm a firm believer that you should limit your supplements as much as possible, but I'll still typically
recommend ZMA as a starter, if nothing else.
ZMA stands for Zinc
Monomethionine Aspartate, and the formula usually contains Magnesium
Aspartate as well, sometimes along with Vitamin B-6. It's a natural
anabolic mineral product that has been shown to increase hormone
levels along with muscle strength.
One such study at Western
Washington University, run by Lorrie Brilla, Ph.D., showed that
taking just 450mg of Magnesium and 30mg of Zinc every day will
significantly elevate testosterone levels, and participants who took
the ZMA formula gained, on average, up to 250% more power than the
athletes who only got a placebo.
This is all natural,
powerful stuff, so if you're just itching to add a supplement to your diet, try ZMA.

Supplements to Maximize Your Metabolism Part 4- Three-In-One
One major aid to losing weight or maintaining a weight is boosting your metabolism. I am here to list some dietary supplements that should be in your diet in order to assist in boosting metabolism. Exercise is a great way to boost your metabolism but I am here to talk about supplements that can assist you in doing so.
Supplements:
A
trifecta that produces similar results, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C and
Folic Acid.
While the three have varying benefits. a benefit they all
have in common is the ability to metabolize proteins and amino
acids(these come together to make proteins). As I have said in many
of my other posts about 'Supplements to Maximize Your Metabolism'
increased muscle mass means increased metabolism, muscles are mainly
comprised of protein.
Another bonus to these three supplements is
that they help to form and grow red and white blood cells. Which in
theory and/or hypothetically speaking can boost your immune
system(WBC) and increase oxygen flow(RBC) for more efficient
exercise.

Supplements to Maximize Your Metabolism Part 3- Green Tea
One major aid to losing weight or maintaining a weight is boosting your metabolism. I am here to list some dietary supplements that should be in your diet in order to assist in boosting metabolism. Exercise is a great way to boost your metabolism but I am here to talk about supplements that can assist you in doing so.
Supplements:
Green Tea
This delicious beverage can help boost your metabolism,
how you ask? It speeds the production of noradrenaline
(Norepinephrine)
therefore boosting your metabolism. This substance is naturally
release by the nerve cells throughout your body, this substance also
helps your body handle high stress situations.
Green Tea has a
relatively small amount of this ingredient, so take all things in
moderation. Other positives about a green tea diet is that it can help fight
off cancer, as well as, heart disease. There are also limted studies
on how it can help lower cholesterol. The antioxidants it contains
are great for your heart.

Supplements to Maximize Your Metabolism Part 3- Cinnamon and Grapefruit Juice
One major aid to losing weight or maintaining a weight is boosting your metabolism. I am here to list some dietary supplements that should be in your diet in order to assist in boosting metabolism. Exercise is a great way to boost your metabolism but I am here to talk about supplements that can assist you in doing so.
Supplements:
Cinnamon & grapefruit juice
Yes cinnamon & grapefruit juice.
I don't recommend munching down on your potpourri cinnamon sticks but
more the ground up kind. Sprinkle it on food to help your body
convert sugars into energy therefore less sugar would increase your
body fat. Grapefruit juice and cinnamon, sounds yummy hmm? Well
grapefruit juice help reduce the amount of insulin you have in your
body, there fore reducing the amount of fat that your body retains.
Both of these natural health supplements can be bought in pill
form.

Supplements to Maximize Your Metabolism Part 2- Chromium
One major aid to losing weight or maintaining a weight is boosting your metabolism. I am here to list some dietary supplements that should be in your diet in order to assist in boosting metabolism. Exercise is a great way to boost your metabolism but I am here to talk about supplements that can assist you in doing so.
Supplements:
Chromium
Chromium, most often found
in the soluble(able to break down by our bodies) form of chromium
picolinate, in which our body seperates the two to use the Chromium.
In terms of metabolism Chromium assists in the breaking down or
metabolizing of Carbohydrates and Lipids(includes Cholesterol, fatty
acids, triglycerides & phospholipids).
Chromium plays a key role
in helping insulin control the body's blood sugar levels. Insulin is
a hormone that your body uses to manipulates to change starches
sugars and other carbohydrates into more manageable forms. Chromium
can assist in gaining lean muscle mass and reducing the overall
amount of body fat, more muscle mass means increased metabolism.
A
bonus side effect that often plagues people that are in need of a
diet and exercise, Chromium helps to lower blood pressure. However
consuming too much can have negative effects. Chromium has also been
shown to help reduce anxiety and depression. The amount needed on a
daily basis ranges from 15-30 micrograms or 15-30 millionths of a
gram.
Multivitamins have all varying amounts of Chromium in them. How
to consume Chromium naturally, brewer's yeast(breads), certain
cereals, whole grains, molasses, certain cheeses, organ meats, lean
and processed meat. That’s a Chromium in a nutshell.

Supplements to Maximize Your Metabolism Part 1- Vitamin C
One major aid to losing weight or maintaining a weight is boosting your metabolism. I am here to list some dietary supplements that should be in your diet in order to assist in boosting metabolism. Exercise is a great way to boost your metabolism but I am here to talk about supplements that can assist you in doing so.
Supplements:
Vitamin C (Citric Acid)
This vitamin has many uses, it is an antioxidant that
help reduce the amount of free radicals in your body. Free radicals
are ionic compounds or elements that are unstable and want to fuse
with something potentially needed by our bodies ultimately forming a
new compound that can be harmful or make a useful element or compound
useless. Antioxidants combine with the harmful free radicals
ultimately neutralizing them. Vitamin C helps boost our immune
systems, a insufficient amount of calories and Vitamin C can cause
our bodies to be more susceptible to viruses and the common
cold(virus). 3 grams of vitamin C is a good amount, this can vary on
body weight. Vitamin C is also used in the Kreb's Cycle (Citric Acid
Cycle) for your body to produce ATP(Adenosine Triphosphate) aka
Energy. There are 3 cycles that produce energy.

Beginner Workout Plans: Starter Tips Part 8
Tip: Supplements- Omega 3
Fish Oil
Finally, I want to talk
about fish oil as the third essential supplement for a beginner
bodybuilder. Omega 3, found in fish oil, is a long chain fatty acid
that works to reduce inflammation in both the muscles and the joints
of the body.
When you're working out, you
are putting your body under tremendous stress – stress that it
probably isn't used to. The delayed onset muscle soreness that you
feel the day after a workout is caused in part by inflammation, so a
daily regimen of fish oil will help offset some of that a bit. This
is useful for all workout plans.
There's another benefit to
fish oil that I want to cover- omega 3 acts on our muscles' receptor
sites in a way that decreases insulin production, which allows our
bodies to shed more fat and replenish more muscle glycogen.
Essentially, what that means is that your body gets better at burning
fat and building muscle.
Sounds good to me.

Beginner Workout Plans: Starter Tips Part 7
Tip: Supplements-
Multivitamin
But Andrew, I can hear you
saying, where are the REAL supplements? Yesterday I talked about
protein as one of the three supplements I would recommend to a
beginner bodybuilder. Today I'm talking about a...multivitamin?
Absolutely. Workout plans,
no matter how high or low intensity you make them, burn more energy
than your body is used to. You need vitamins and minerals to replace
those lost during your workouts, and to boost your growing muscles.
However, a multi-vitamin
isn't going to cover for an unhealthy diet. I recommend eating fresh,
natural foods, and then using the multivitamin as sort of an
insurance measure. You can't measure every single vitamin in your
food, so you may not be getting enough of something. The
multi-vitamin just sort of steps in and evens things out.
If you're on a weight loss
regimen, I would even recommend taking an extra multivitamin daily to
replace all those lost nutrients that would have normally come from
your diet.

Beginner Workout Plans: Starter Tips Part 6
Tip: Supplements- Protein
powder
Supplements are always going
to be one of the main things bodybuilders want to know about. What
should I take? How often should I take it? What will increase my
testosterone? Reduce my recovery times? Make me stronger, better, and
faster?
I don't like to recommend
supplements, but there are three that I think are actually necessary.
Just about everything else is up to your own discretion, and there
are plenty of websites to look at for information.
One of these supplements is
protein powder. Even beginners should find a good quality protein
powder to supplement their meals with. This makes it easier to whip
up a quick after workout protein shake to send nutrients to your
muscles when they need it most.
You're going to be going
through a hell of a lot of protein, and sometimes it's easier to just
drink it down than find the 100th way to prepare chicken
breast. And remember, protein is protein. Don't go for the most
expensive product on the market, because it won't work any better
than the Wal-Mart brand.

The Most Common Diet Mistakes During an Intense Workout Routine- Part 3
Mistake: Counting on
supplements to do the work.
This is a huge newbie
mistake that, honestly, a lot of veteran bodybuilders still do. Now,
completely and truly honest, you don't need any supplements to
achieve massive muscle gains. However, I do understand that some
supplements make it a lot easier. And some actually give you vital
nutrients that you may not be getting, depending on your diet.
At the beginner stage,
supplements definitely aren't worth the money. You need to get into
the habit of sticking with your workout routine first, and then start
adding supplements. There will come a point where you're building
your body up much faster than it's ready for, and at that point you
can either slow down for a little while and let your body catch up,
or you can begin taking some supplements to boost that growth.
The choice is up to you. I
have my own opinions that you should never push your body past
functionality, but I know that many people go for looks, especially
competitive bodybuilders. My sole advice is to make sure you're
getting as much as you can out of quality foods in your diet, and
then begin adding supplements after that.
